Dining at The Derwentwater

You’re invited to dine in our wonderful Deer’s Leap Restaurant which, like the rest of the Derwentwater Hotel, is designed to bring you closer to the wonderful great outdoors of the Lake District.

In keeping with the hotel’s country style, the Deer’s Leap Restaurant serves traditional cooked breakfasts and delicious table d’hôte or à la carte evening meals. Look out for favourites such as Cumberland sausage or heart-warming pear and ginger sponge.

Enjoy delectable dishes as you look out over the hotel grounds towards the lake. The conservatory is a lovely setting to enjoy a snack or a light lunch and if you are a dog owner, you can take breakfast here accompanied by your faithful friend.

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast accompanied by a variety of hot beverages and fresh juices. We have a great selection of breakfast options to choose from, including cereal, fresh fruit and home-cooked favourites – so you can fuel up for a day of adventure.

Return to the Deer’s Leap for lunch, and enjoy a range of home-cooked main meals – everything from Fish ‘n’ Chips to Freshly Baked Pizza – or choose from a range of light lunches and snacks from the deli, including fresh sandwiches and paninis.

In the evening, join family and friends for a wonderful à la carte dining experience, with the sunset landscape as your inspiring backdrop. Our seasonal menu offers a delicious variety of starters, mains and desserts, with ingredients locally-sourced where possible.
