This wonderful Devon country house sits in parkland gardens and is surrounded by a wooded estate.
Killerton is a National Trust property, with grounds that include circular walks and with an array of plants, herbs and flowers from all over the country. The gardens were created in the 1770s, and also feature an ice house and a summerhouse as well as a discovery centre where you can learn more about your surroundings. The house itself is an ivy-clad building and is open to the public. It’s an interactive museum where you can learn more about Killerton’s past and can dress in costume, play the piano and see regularly-changing exhibits.
