Anne Hathaway’s Cottage

Anne Hathaway was Shakespeare’s wife, and lived in the lovely village of Shottery, just a mile from Stratford-upon-Avon.

Anne Hathaway’s Cottage was her childhood home prior to her marriage, and is a picturesque thatched building that’s been described as England’s most romantic property. Gardens which come to life in the spring with colourful daffodils, and rooms which are filled with interesting objects and artefacts, including a finely carved oak bed, make this a wonderful place for a woodland walk and educational day out.
