There's Plenty to See and Do

Inland, Pembrokeshire is a county of beautiful fields, wide open spaces and wonderful floral meadows. As you make your way out towards the coast, you’ll find stunning beaches amongst the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and the spectacular St Bride’s Bay. Whether you’re walking, cycling or exploring by car, you’ll have many a great day out on your holiday or short break.

During your visit, you’ll see some truly inspiring scenery. Walk in the footsteps of some of your favourite film stars, in locations used for Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and a whole host of other well-known movies. Pembrokeshire’s Coastal Bus Service operates for the benefit of walkers, who can use it to get to the very best of the region’s walking trails, though it’s also perfect for seated sightseeing tours taking in the coastal landscape.

From the colourful town of Tenby to Britain’s smallest city, St Davids, there are plenty of places to while away the hours. Watch boats in the harbour, or visit the Dinosaur Park and treat the kids to a day that they’ll never forget.

Photographers and lovers of nature will want to make their way to Cardigan Bay, famed for its wide variety of native plants and animals. If you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of a bottlenose dolphin just a short distance from the shore. Local companies offer boat trips to explore the coastline, and to get a little closer to the creatures of the deep.

In Narberth, you’ll find the thrilling Blue Lagoon water park at the Bluestone National Park Resort. You can also visit a whole host of historic attractions including the Castell Henllys Iron Age Fort with its impressive roundhouses.

Whether you’re visiting a local farm park, shopping at one of the many Pembrokeshire markets or dining out in a restaurant, there are plenty of opportunities to savour the foods of the region, from fresh meats to seasonal vegetables. There are vineyards, art galleries and majestic castles to explore, as well as theme parks and zoos for a family day out.

Enjoy a slow-paced holiday visiting craft centres, tea rooms and distinctive natural landmarks, or make your visit to Pembrokeshire a wild adventure full of outdoor activity, exploration and thrilling family fun.
