Out & About

As a UNESCO World Heritage city, Bath is an architectural gem seemingly crammed full of elegant buildings and top-class historical attractions. Bath’s centre is just a 15-minute walk or 5-minute drive from the hotel. Amongst the many attractions you may want to visit, Thermae Spa is the only natural thermal spa in Britain and Bath’s open-air rooftop pool offers unforgettable views of the city. You’ll find plenty to see and do, from visits to famous landmarks such as Pulteney Bridge and Royal Crescent to delightful independent shops and boutiques and boat rides on the river.

There are a number of excellent museums in the city and a range of high profile festivals and concerts throughout the year. In the run up to Christmas, the Bath Christmas Markets have become a popular visitor attraction in their own right.  For a truly unique experience, why not book a hot air balloon ride for a bird’s eye view of this beautiful city?  Further afield the countryside in Wiltshire and Somerset offers Stonehenge and Glastonbury amongst many interesting places to explore.

The building was completed in 1771, after being designed in 1769. A venue for socialising and entertainment, favoured by the richest and most elite of Bath’s residents, the Assembly Rooms building contains beautiful furnishings and elegant fittings with detailed marble and plasterwork. After being bombed in 1942, the Assembly Rooms were restored to their former glory and are now a National Trust property with an on-site fashion museum and bookshop. Visit their website

What some of our guests have to say…

Customer Rating:

Mum and I have had a lovely 4 night stay at the hotel. All of the staff were exceptional in their helpfulness and above all their pleasing manner, from the moment we entered the reception. The choice of menu for breakfast and the evening meal made dining a pleasure. Although our bedroom was a little faded it was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We will highly recommend the hotel for its location, services and good value for money.

Customer Rating:

My friend & I had a most comfortable stay at the hotel; our room was very spacious & clean, (although a little TLC. would help) & being on the 3rd floor had a good view. The rest of the hotel was well appointed, & the very helpful staff were a credit. We enjoyed the choice of meals each night - especially the roast beef! Comfortable lounges were a good spot for a game of scrabble in the evenings. We will definitely return again.

Customer Rating:

The hotel is very elegant and staff very pleasant. Only a short walk to the town and baths. The rooms are well sized but looking tired and need a facelift. Overall very happy with our stay.
