Local Attractions

As a UNESCO World Heritage city, Bath has more than its fair share of elegant buildings and historic attractions. The Thermae Spa is the only natural thermal spa in Britain, and Bath’s open-air rooftop pool offers unforgettable views of the city. You’ll find plenty to see and do, from visits to independent shops and boutiques to boat rides on the river. The city’s museums include the Jane Austen Centre, and there are theatres where you can enjoy a range of entertaining shows and performances by well-known and less-known artists, comedians and musicians. For a truly unique experience, why not book a hot air balloon ride for a bird’s eye view of the Georgian houses below?

Bath Assembly Rooms

Including Bath’s Fashion Museum, the Bath Assembly Rooms make up one of the best attractions in Bath for those that enjoy history and architecture. The building was completed in 1771, after being designed in 1769. A venue for socialising and entertainment, favoured by the richest and most elite of Bath’s residents, the Assembly Rooms building contains beautiful furnishings and elegant fittings with detailed marble and plasterwork. After being bombed in 1942, the Assembly Rooms were restored to their former glory and are now a National Trust property with an on-site fashion museum and bookshop.

Mum and I have had a lovely 4 night stay at the hotel. All of the staff were exceptional in their helpfulness and above all their pleasing manner, from the moment we entered the reception. The choice of menu for breakfast and the evening meal made dining a pleasure. Although our bedroom was a little faded it was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We will highly recommend the hotel for its location, services and good value for money.

My friend & I had a most comfortable stay at the hotel; our room was very spacious & clean, (although a little TLC. would help) & being on the 3rd floor had a good view. The rest of the hotel was well appointed, & the very helpful staff were a credit. We enjoyed the choice of meals each night - especially the roast beef! Comfortable lounges were a good spot for a game of scrabble in the evenings. We will definitely return again.

The hotel is very elegant and staff very pleasant. Only a short walk to the town and baths. The rooms are well sized but looking tired and need a facelift. Overall very happy with our stay.
