The Derwentwater Hotel has a range of traditional and modern facilities to help you make the most of your stay.

16 acres of gardens provide a soothing setting to soak up the Lake District’s scenery. Along with several relaxing lounges, you’ll find beautifully lawned gardens – perfect for enjoying a refreshing drink on a sunny afternoon.

Deer’s Leap restaurant

Deer’s Leap, our a la carte restaurant, offers a superb choice of modern and traditional cuisine in an elegant, intimate setting.

Our waiting staff are trained to an exceptional standard. Local produce is used wherever possible, supporting local producers and protecting the environment.

Breakfast comprises a cold buffet as well as a traditional Cumbrian breakfast served hot from the kitchen. Dinner is a luxurious four-course menu, changed daily, followed by coffee. Sunday lunch is a traditional three-course menu, with optional twists inspired by modern cuisine for the more adventurous.

Derwent Bar and Conservatory

The Derwent Bar and Conservatory offer magnificent views over Derwentwater. Relax with friends or make new ones over a drink and a light snack.

Hot and cold beverages are served throughout the day. Our lunchtime menu is served from noon to 2.30pm with sandwiches and hot snacks served until 5.15pm. Our traditional 'High Tea' menu is served between 2.30pm and 5.15pm.

All of our menus offer a wide selection. We cater in full for children and vegetarians.

Pamper Yourself at Oxley’s Health Spa

If it’s exercise you’re after, our partner health spa (Oxley’s, just two minutes drive from the hotel) is ideal.

Take in one of 12 indulgent spa treatments for men and women, including aromatherapy, massages, reflexology and tanning.
