Perfect Suites...
There are two private rooms to choose from for your wedding, wedding breakfast and evening reception, including the spectacular Kielder Suite for up to 70 for a sit down dinner and 150 for the evening reception.

The Riverside Restaurant
Overlooking the gardens and the river the Riverside Room is the perfect venue for your wedding reception as it boasts idyllic views and the space to accommodate up to 90 guests for your wedding meal.

The Kielder Suite
The largest of our suites, The Kielder Suite is excellent for wedding receptions and can accommodate up to 30 guests for a wedding meal and 50 guests for a wedding reception. The suite benefits from natural daylight and is fully air-conditioned, it is the ideal place for you to celebrate. Greet your guests in the Lounge Bar whilst enjoying a celebratory drink, then move through to this lovely suite.

The River Suite
The elegant River Suite on the first floor has many features including river views and a large open fireplace. This room is ideal for small weddings and offers you the ideal venue for your wedding ceremony and can accommodate up to 25 guests.

The George Hotel has banqueting suites suitable for a variety of wedding celebrations, from the more intimate party right up to the larger wedding breakfasts and receptions. Whatever the size and style of your event, our Wedding Co-ordinator can help you choose the suite that is right for you, and rest assured, you will receive the same care and attention to detail whatever the size of your wedding. Our high standards of food and service have established us as a reputable wedding venue.

Traditional or New...
If your wish is for a traditional wedding of a formal breakfast and evening reception our beautiful Kielder or River Suites will provide the perfect setting. If you are one of the growing number of couples who are deciding to marry abroad but still want to share your celebrations with your family and friends when you return, or if you are looking for an informal celebration, we have introduced a new specially designed choice of themed buffets for you. So if you get married abroad we can host an evening celebration with a buffet menu themed to reflect your special day.

At The George Hotel we combine the individual charm of the original grade two listed building with all the modern facilities and creature comforts.

We have a variety of rooms to suit your guest's requirements. We do advise that you confirm your requirements as soon as possible and we will be happy to offer a special overnight accommodation rate to any guests wishing to stay with us. Above all, we are flexible and can discuss any requirements you may have in greater detail to ensure we take the stress out of organising your special day.

Directions to The George Hotel, Hexham

Direction to the George Hotel from the M6. Head North on the M6 towards Exit 43. At junction 43, take the A69 exit to Carlisle / Newcastle / Hexham. At the roundabout, take the 3 exit onto A69 heading to Hexham / Newcastle / Brampton. Turn right to stay on A69 (sign for A69 / Hexham / Newcastle). At the roundabout take the 3<sup>rd</sup> exit and stay on A69 heading to Newcastle / Hexham. Turn left towards B6318 / Glenwhelt Bank, continue to follow B6318. At the roundabout, take the 4th exit and stay on B6318, the hotel will be on the left. At The George Hotel we have two car parks, a small one at the front and a larger car park at the rear, the two car parks can hold about 90 cars.
