Situated in the delightful city of Bath, the hotel is believed to be one of the oldest hotels in Bath. Set in its own picturesque gardens this grade 2 listed hotel is just a 15 minute downhill walk to the historic city centre. The Lansdown Grove has a very unique style of architecture with its high ceilings and intricate and elegant plasterwork. Wedding Ceremony...
Why not actually hold your wedding ceremony at the hotel? The Lansdown Grove Hotels holds a civil service licence to enable you to hold your marriage ceremony and reception under one roof. Please contact the registrar directly to organise the official civil arrangements for ceremony.



Perfect Suites...
There are three private rooms to choose from for your ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception, including the spectacular Beau Nash Suite for up to 70 for a sit down dinner and 100 for the evening reception.

The Beau Nash Suite is the most spacious function room we have at the hotel with an easy access to the hotel garden. This suite is ideal for wedding receptions and this suite also has a dance floor. The room has air conditioning and is located on the second floor and also has an access to the rear car park. There is also a bar adjacent to this room which can be open all evening.

The Beckford Suite is situated between the first and the second floor and is the second largest room in the hotel. It also has an easy access to the garden and has excellent natural day light and also has air conditioning.

The Drawing Room is based on the first floor and it is accessible by lift with no extra steps. The room is provided with a beautiful view through a bay window which floods the room with natural day light.

If your wish is for a traditional wedding of a formal breakfast and evening reception our beautiful Beau Nash Suite will provide the perfect setting. If you are one of the growing number of couples who are deciding to marry abroad but still want to share your celebrations with your family and friends when you return, or if you are looking for an informal celebration, we have introduced a new specially designed choice of themed buffets for you. So if you get married abroad we can host an evening celebration with a buffet menu themed to reflect your special day.

Directions to The Lansdown Grove Hotel, Bath

Take junction 18 off the M4. Follow the A46 to Bath. After about 3.5 miles you will reach a roundabout, turn right sign-posted A420 and Bristol. After 1.5 miles, turn left to Hamswell. Follow the road down the hill for approximately 1 mile to a T-junction. Turn left up the hill following signs for Lansdown and Bath. Continue, passing the Lansdown Golf Club and Bath Racecourse. Continue down the hill passing the Hare and Hound Pub on the left. You will reach a T-junction just after a Church. Turn right and drive down the hill. We are located 200 yards further on the left hand side opposite the Royal High School. From the A36: Coming in on the A36 (Beckford Road), turn right at the mini roundabout onto Bathwick Street. On your right you will see a fire and ambulance station. After crossing the river take the left fork and go straight on at the mini roundabout. At the next set of traffic lights get into the right hand lane and turn right onto Lansdown Road. Continue up the hill and we are located on the right hand side opposite the Royal High School.
