A warm welcome to The Imperial Exmouth Hotel...

The Imperial simply has the best location in Exmouth, with just our formal gardens between us and the seafront. Our gardens are a real sun trap with a swimming pool and loungers to relax in.

We have the look of a classic, white fronted seaside hotel outside, but our recent refurbishment means we now also have a fresh and modern look inside. Here at The Imperial we take our food very seriously – our menu choice ranges from steak to spaghetti, through to the best the sea has to offer.

Whether you come for the sea, the beautiful Devon countryside or to explore the town, you will not be disappointed with us at The Imperial. I look forward to greeting you.

Lovely

Our stay at the Imperial Hotel, Exmouth in May was really lovely. We had come away needing to 'recharge our batteries' and to relax. We were certainly able to do that. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and were most helpful, particularly our waiter who was friendly and patient without being intrusive. I have already recommended the hotel to others who require some peace and quiet and a little pampering! The room was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the bay.

Nice and Clean

Great setting for a hotel as the front is at the bottom of the garden. The staff were very kind and helpful and the dining room was the best we have eaten in it took my breath away. The serving staff worked very hard and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was very nice no need for a makeover yet and we felt at home nice and cosy. We will return when the sun shines as there are many resorts that we found. Glynn.

Fond memories of the Imperial Hotel

I just wanted to write about my two family stays at the Imperial on our way through to Cornwall. We loved it so much we returned the following year. As a child at the time, I loved the games room, and the swimming pool. I've got the most wonderful memories of the place, it's nice to see the outside looks the same, the interior must have been updated, but I remember the rooms being very modern back in the 80’s when my family and I stayed there.

Great Break

We stayed at the Imperial for 4 nights. Room 218 was great with fantastic views of the bay. The hotel staff were very friendly and the food was of a high standard. We did not use the car, had boat rides and used the train and bus, all of which were quite reasonable. The only hiccup, although a pleasant one,(as far as I was concerned) was we awoken at 3am on the Wednesday morning by a naked young girl calling out the name Michael to let her in. I discovered at reception later the night porter was Michael

4 Night Break

Exmouth is a fine old town and the Imperial Hotel stands proud at the mouth of the estuary in well maintained extensive grounds . The staff and service they offered was faultless, & food in the elegant dining room was very good with plenty of choice. On booking we upgraded to a room with sea view. The view was superb but the room was very disappointing. The bed was most uncomfortable, chairs were old & worn, décor shabby (patch on ceiling) shower very poor. Avoid room 112 otherwise a great hotel.

Lovely hotel pity about the food

Hotel, staff and location fantastic. Lovely room clean and comfortable. Pity about the food, very disappointed with the quality and quantity of food supplied, seems like they are cutting corners. Spoilt what could have been a lovely holiday. Five stars for hotel, just two for the kitchen.
