The Savoy Hotel

We stayed at the Savoy from 12 to 16 April. After reading some of the reviews we almost cancelled that would have been our loss. We had a double room in the attic room 403. We found the room to be bright and airy with lovely views over the garden and right out to sea. We paid the extra for a garden view and it was well worth it. The food was good and the service was excellent. Would suggest you upgrade even if it is just to get a room with a garden view. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Mrs B. Foster and Mrs J. McIntyre stayed at the hotel last year in 2009 and found the food of excellent quality. Mrs B. Foster found the fish and vegetarian dishes o.k. As she does not eat meat. The stay was enjoyable.

Stopped at the Savoy hotel for a 2 nights with some friends. The hotel was nice and clean and the staff couldn't be faulted. We got the train down which was a relief as there were lots of people trying to find somewhere to park - the hotel car park was very busy. The view from our room was amazing, we paid extra for a garden view and were delighted to find that at the bottom of the garden was a great sea view! Our rooms were huge as well. Highlight had to be the poached eggs at breakfest - yum.

We have just been on a 4 night stay at the Savoy. 23 - 27 August. The hotel is great and all of the staff are really freindly and work really hard. We had room 124 above the entrance and were well satisfied. The food is great with something to suit all tastes. Very good value for money.The only downside was that we had a small child that decided to scream during the evening meal for 2 nights I think an age limit should be set as 90% of guests are 50+ and have come to escape that! Otherwise great

We stayed on 4 nights B&B basis, May 2010, the Savoy is a large hotel with magnificent manicured gardens overlooked from the dining room and outside terrace. Our room on the second floor was spacious and was beautifully decorated with modern furniture, new carpet, the large bathroom had bath and shower, clean and serviced daily. All public areas were tastefully decorated and well lit. Food served hot, staff friendly, helpful, a holiday we enjoyed tremendously! Well Done!!

Went with Shearing’s and it certainly was good value for money. Nice large clean room with bath and shower and tea tray etc. close to cliffs and not too far from town. Meals looked nice and well presented but only down side for us was that we tend to like our food plainer so that we can taste what we are eating. Starters and desserts were lovely but main course was difficult to find something that we liked except salad left main course first night as too spicy but we were offered another meal

Four of us have just returned from an excellent value for money weekend break at The Savoy Hotel Bournemouth. We found the staff efficient and friendly, the garden rooms bright, clean and comfy. The food plentiful, hot and varied. The All Inclusive var on Saturday evening was the cherry on the cake.

Have just come back from a stay at the Savoy. Lovely weekends, food good, hotel clean, staff very helpful. The only down side was the bed, like sleeping on a plank of wood. Acts on in the evening are very good. We will be going back.

We stayed from 31 January to 4 February 2011. We upgraded to a superior room which was well worth the extra and still very good value for money and the room was beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the staff very friendly and gave an excellent service in reception, bar and restaurant. The food was excellent and very nicely presented with plenty of choice. We would certainly stay there again and recommend the Hotel to anyone.

We have just returned from a very good 4 night break at this hotel. We paid extra for a "garden room" because the upgraded rooms are generally larger. However, it seems that all of the rooms here are of a good size. Our bathroom was a bit tired and the shower curtain wouldn't close but the room was very good. The entire hotel seems to have undergone a refurbishment and was superb. The food was top line and the staff were excellent. The entire experience was well worth the money.

7 weeks after a stay at the lovely Coast and Country Windermere Hotel, off to try the Savoy Hotel. Worth the upgrade again, as we had a large room with garden and sea views. Excellent staff, service and food, and a prime location. Parking is a bit difficult but staff do manage to find a space. We may be remembered for pulling the whole curtain and rail down in our room Saturday evening, but it was fixed by the time dinner was over - what service! Another hotel to definitely recommend. Which hotel next I wonder?

A great hotel transporting you back to a time when life went at a slower pace. Now being brought up to date. We have been coming here for over thirty years and it’s now the best it’s ever been. All the rooms are now being updated and are really nice. The lounge is comfortable and the bar prices are reasonable. Food ok entertainment cringe worthy but we still love it. Staff are really nice and friendly. By no means the best, yet still a really great hotel. We'll be back again in the few weeks.

Had a wonderful honeymoon at the Savoy. Food and staff were excellent. Very upset that we could not have a room with a garden view as all the rooms were taken. Hotel was very clean and the evening acts were the icing on the cake. Well done all of you! We will be coming back and upgrading our room. Garden needs a little TLC Carol McGraw.

We have just come back from a 4 night stay at the Savoy Hotel Bournemouth. We found the staff to be one of the friendliest and efficient you could meet. The room, a Garden Room, was spacious, clean and comfortable. The restaurant was very well laid out and both the service and food were of a very high standard. Although we have been to Bournemouth many many times in the past it was the first time we have stayed at The Savoy, but we know we will be back again.

We found the room and bed clean and comfortable the staff were very good. The hotel was excellent and the breakfasts were good. But the evening dinners were poor and the vegetable not edible. The absents of a restaurant manager made it very difficult to complain .
