Winter Hotel Breaks

Snowy landscapes, frosty mornings and festive celebrations are all part of the fun of winter hotel breaks available at our Coast & Country hotels. Midweek and weekend festive breaks through Christmas and New Year are popular times to book, but all through winter there will be plenty to see and do wherever you choose to stay.

In fact, the winter season is a perfect time to take a break and see somewhere new, or to visit a hotel that you’ve been to before. Landscapes look magical as the sun rises over a white hill, or sets over the ocean, and attractions decorated for Christmas are more impressive than ever. With places to stay in Scotland, Wales and England we provide plenty of choice for a winter break with family, friends or your other half.

The winter months might make you want to wrap up warm and hide from the world, but at a Coast & Country hotel that’s just one of many choices. If you’d like to spend your whole weekend hiding in one of our soft, cosy beds then we’ll completely understand, but if you’d prefer to go out walking then we’ll make sure that you return to a seasonal three-course dinner menu with freshly prepared hot food. Every morning we serve a traditional breakfast to prepare you for the day ahead, and to give you energy for whatever you choose to do.

Perhaps the most magical experience of all will be a visit to Pitlochry in Perthshire, with the Tay Forest Park and the Cairngorms right on your doorstep. You’ll be able to go on a reindeer hike, spend a day skiing or experience the thrill of a dog-sled ride before returning to the Pitlochry Hydro Hotel for a relaxing drink as you upload the day’s photographs to share with your friends. The Lake District is another delightful place to visit – a real winter wonderland – though even our coastal hotels make great places to stay when the nights are long and you want great food, welcoming hospitality and leisure facilities like gyms, swimming pools and golf courses to keep you busy.
