If you like to spoil yourself a bit while you are away, what better way than a bit of retail therapy? A number of our hotels are situated in great locations to do some shopping on your break.
For a break with fantastic shopping on your doorstep head to The Lansdown Grove in Bath, or The St George in Harrogate. Both hotels are in central locations close to the shops and whether you are in Harrogate or Bath you will discover an array of interesting, upmarket boutique shops to choose from. There are also plenty of nice cafes and restaurants where you can stop for a coffee and a tasty treat to keep you fuelled along the way!
Look out for the Christmas Markets in the run up to Christmas in both Bath and Harrogate, too. The Harrogate Christmas Market attracted 52,00 people in 2014 and is scheduled to run between 19th and 22nd November in 2015. Bath Christmas Market has become a tourist attraction in its own right. This magical market is held in the streets around the Roman Baths and will feature 180 stalls from 26th November to 13th December in 2015. Not surprisingly, both The Lansdown Grove and The St George are very popular at this time of year, so book your break early to avoid disappointment.
In addition to Bath and Harrogate, Bournemouth offers a great shopping experience with a good mixture of High Street chains and independent shops to keep you busy. The Savoy is in a fantastic location overlooking the sea in Bournemouth and is only a few minutes walk to the centre of the town, if you can tear yourself away from the seven miles of sandy beach!.
The Imperial in Exmouth is a great choice for a break on the promenade in Exmouth and is just 30 minutes to Exeter by car or train. If you fancy a change from the Jurassic Coast, you will find large department stores such as John Lewis alongside independent retailers and a diverse range of delicious eateries. While you are there you can also take the opportunity to visit Exeter Cathedral which is right in the centre of the city.
The Grand Atlantic in Weston-super-Mare is yet another great option for a break by the coast that offers some great shopping just half an hour away, too. If the weather is not playing ball or if you just fancy a change of scenery, Bristol and Cribbs Causeway, offering a complete shopping and leisure experience, is just 30 minutes away.
