Norfolk & The Broads
The Norfolk Broads are one of the most beautiful and picturesque areas of Britain. Now officially a National Park and the UK’s largest area of protected wetland, the region has over 125 miles of navigational canals with lots of pretty villages and market towns.
Within Norfolk lies the regional capital of East Anglia, Norwich. The city is known for being the most complete medieval city in Britain with numerous Norman period monuments. Famous examples of this type of architecture include the cathedral which has the second highest spire in the country and the well preserved medieval castle.
We also visit the coastal resorts of Norfolk including the charming seaside towns of Great Yarmouth, Cromer, Aldeburgh and Southwold. Famous for being some of the nicest coastal areas of Britain that attract a mixture of celebrities and exclusivity, these towns feature on many of our holidays to Norfolk. We also venture down into North East Suffolk to Lowestoft, the place where the ‘Broadlands meet the sea’.
In West Norfolk, Hunstanton is the base for many of our holidays and enjoys an excellent location on the western side of the East Coast which means the resort enjoys longer sunny days because of its position. Moving inland, we also visit Sandringham, the Queen’s private country residence of the Queen.
With a mixture of medieval, modern and seaside themes, a holiday with Shearings to Norfolk and the Broads gives you the opportunity to combine all of the three on one trip. With our excellent selection of coach holidays to Norfolk and Suffolk, superb early booking deals and last minute special offers, you are never more than a click away from booking a holiday to Norwich, the Norfolk Broads as well the seaside towns of Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth and Southwold from your local joining point with Shearings Holidays.
