A warm welcome to The Grand Atlantic Hotel...

With towers and turrets our elegant Victorian hotel is a truly iconic building on the seafront at Weston.

Weston is your classic traditional seaside town but has recently had a bit of a makeover and now has lots of new things to see and do. Despite all this it is the beach that is the focal point for Weston and The Grand Atlantic has the location to make the very best of any stay in the town.

Our refurbishment has given us a beautiful restaurant with picturesque views across the beach. We also have a selection of new Superior bedrooms with stunning views out to sea – if you want to make your break really special.

Location

The wide sweep of Weston Bay - Perfect all year round

By Car

The hotel is right on the sea front, close to the town centre and just 10 minutes off the M5 at junction 21.

  • At Junction 21 of the M5 take the exit
  • At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A370 Go through 5 roundabouts
  • At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Station Rd
  • At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Walliscote Rd
  • At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Oxford St
  • Turn left at A370 / Beach Road

Parking is not easy in Weston but we have lots of free car parking both in front and behind the hotel – pull into the front of the hotel and drop your bags off first if you would prefer.

By Train

There is a train station in Weston-Super-Mare. From there it is a 10 minute walk or a very short taxi that will cost you £3, to the grand Atlantic Hotel.

By Air

Our nearest airport is Bristol. From there a taxi will take around 20 minutes for the 12 miles. Car hire is also available at the airport with Enterprise who also have a depot in Weston. Public transport is not easy as you need to go into Bristol and back out again.

Local Insight

I have always been a Weston person and think I always will be! With the sea and beach so close and beautiful countryside just a few miles inland, Weston is a great combination. I love summer, people watching on the sea front and the buzz of the town. Winter is great for windy walks down the beach and on wet days there is excellent shopping at nearby Cribbs Causeway or the very new Cabot Circus.

Cheddar Gorge and the caves at Wells are popular for a trip out, as is the huge Cadbury garden centre down the road, complete with its great lunchtime restaurant.

My stay at The Grand Atlantic Hotel...

Our weekend in Weston

We have just returned from a weekend in Weston, the Grand Atlantic Hotel is situated in a great central location, we were lucky enough to have a room with a sea view, the view was stunning. Plenty of parking at the hotel. The staff were lovely and very helpful, the breakfast food was nice, but small portions of cooked food. Considering we paid £100 per night for our B&B room it was tiny, with one small window, the temperature was very warm outside, and the hotel provided us with one very small fan.

My stay at The Grand Atlantic Hotel...

The Grand Atlantic Hotel

 This hotel has been a favourite of my family over the last 12 years. Its position is ideal for both beach and town centre, and has a large car park. Having undergone refurbishment over the last 2 years, it now boasts 3 levels of accommodation, and two tariffs, B&B or half board. Restaurant facilities are excellent, as is the accommodation. The staff are attentive, courteous and eager to please at all levels. Further visits are planned.
